Jennifer Harrington E-500 RYT, C-IAYT, began her yoga journey in 2005 when she took her first hot yoga class. She went on receive her 200 hr teacher training from Jimmy Barkan in Florida in 2008 and her 500 hr vinyasa training through Rolf Gates in 2011. Jennifer is a certified yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapy. Her love of yoga extends to teaching Yoga and Pilates courses at Tidewater Community College since 2010.
Jennifer's classes inspire her students to be the best person they can be both on and off the mat. Although she has a passion for vinyasa classes and challenging poses, Jennifer also understands the importance of meditation. Some days a practice needs to be gentle and healing while other days a practice needs to be more energetic. She encourages her students to listen to their bodies. As a yoga therapist, Jennifer works with her private clients to naturally heal their bodies from physical or emotional injuries.
Jennifer is grateful every day to be able to guide students through their practices. “The most beautiful thing about my yoga practice, is that no matter what is going on in my life, I always feel better when I step on my mat. I always leave my mat a better person. Yoga is the best medicine.”
